Christie

Originally from a small town in Ohio, Christie moved out to LA a few years ago in search of a job and new adventures.  She has found both!  She is currently working for the Braille Institute and heard about the hike to the top of Mt. Baldy.  She immediately knew it was something she wanted to do.  She has been hiking around LA and has even been to the top of Mt. Baldy before, but never in such a large, dedicated group.

Message from Christie:

I cannot say enough about the people who have come together to make this a reality from Chris, our fearless leader, to all of the volunteers and especially to the students at Braille Institute who have been training for months to reach the over 10,000 ft summit of Mt. Baldy.  This hike is just another example of how people who are blind and visually impaired can do anything they set their minds to and more! I am proud to be a part of such a hard working and inspiring group…bring on Baldy!
