DJ

Demetrius Johnson aka “DJ” is 56 years old and was born with cataracts in NYC.  As a result of being an army brat, DJ has traveled and lived all over the world. His travels continued with an autographing job where he had the opportunity to meet many famous musicians and sports stars.  He was able to attend 11 Superbowls and 6 World Series.  His brothers never treated him different from anyone else, so he has remained very independent. His independence allowed him to hitch hike across the country twice and be on his own since he was 18

In 1999, his kidneys began to fail him and put his life on hold for 5 years.  After a successful transplant, he began to attend classes at the Braille Institute.  His hobbies include, guitar, bowling, golf, computers, hiking,  beginners photography, and making cute ladies laugh.
