Jojo

Jojo is 33 years old and has been blind her entire life.  She was born in the Philippines and came to the US in 1992 at the age of 15.  Her passion and talent for music has led her to attend Los Angeles Community College as a music major.  She plays piano and percussion.  Her hobbies include basketball, roller skating, ice skating, archery, horseback riding, cross country & down hill skiing, rock climbing, kayaking, sailing, hiking, golf and bowling.   Some of her major accomplishments include completing the 26.2 mile, LA Marathon on tandem bike, the 7 mile run & walk Bay to Breakers in San Francisco, the Braille Institute Track & Field Olympics for 6 years, and Judo for 3 years.  She decided to take on the challenge of the “Baldy for the Blind” program  to show her blind and sighted peers that they can  accomplish anything they want to do in life if they put their mind into it. Her motto is “Enjoy Your Life to the Fullest.”
